The 2011 Wakefield Council election took place on 5 May 2011 to elect members of City of Wakefield Metropolitan Council in West Yorkshire, England. One third of the council was up for election and the Labour party stayed in overall control of the council with an increased majority.[1] After the election, the composition of the council was:
